The year is shaping up to be an action-packed year for Gal Gadot. While the status of her return as Wonder Woman is still on the rocks, she has a slew of exciting projects on her plate to keep her busy in the meantime. One such project is one of the sequels to Red Notice, and it seems that Gadot may have dropped a subtle hint suggesting that production is about to kick off.
In an exclusive interview with Collider, Gadot shared a promising update with her fans on Red Notice 2's status, stating:
We're all talking about it. I don't know if I can say anything! I already read the second script and it’s… whoo! We're all very excited about it!
Red Notice dropped on Netflix in November 2021, and despite critics' mixed reviews, it swiftly claimed the throne as one of the platform's most successful projects, maintaining its status as its most-viewed film for 28 consecutive days, a record it still holds to date.
Riding high on its success, Netflix wasted no time giving the green light for not just one, but two sequels, which will be shot back-to-back.
Once again, Rawson Marshall Thurber will take on the dual roles of writer and director, with the trio of Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, and Thurber returning to reprise their respective roles.
Now that Gadot is seemingly satisfied with the second script, it seems filming is just around the corner, with the only hurdle being the packed schedules of Johnson and Reynolds.
Red Notice 2 is still awaiting an official release date, but rest assured, we'll keep you informed with all the latest updates as soon as they become available.
