Like High Ground, we've also covered the Intel locations for Low Profile, Denied Area, and Defender: Mt. Zaya. Feel free to check out our Call of Duty guides library to find more.

High Ground Intel Featured

In this guide, we've covered the locations of all ten Intel, including alternative spawn locations, if any. If you've already played High Ground, you must already know that it consists of two roles: Pilot and Ground Assault team.

To collect the Intel, you must select the Ground Assault team role, as all the Intel is inside buildings. Instruct your teammate in the chopper to cover you while you explore the area for the Intel collection.

Geiger Counter

Like the Denied Area mission, High Ground also has some radioactive Intel that can be located using the Geiger Counter. The first thing you do when you spawn is to collect the Geiger Counter. It is on the table at spawn to your right, where the weapon's station is.

Geiger Counter High Ground

Geiger Counter High Ground

Intel 1

The first Intel is located on the ground floor of the Office building. This is the first building where you are tasked to go and destroy the server equipment.

Intel Map High Ground

Intel Visual High Ground

As you approach the building, you will see a window leading into a small room.

Intel Visual High Ground

Enter the building through the window, and you will see the Intel on a small table between the door and the bunk bed.

Intel 2

The second Intel is also in the same building but upstairs. Exit the room, and take the stairs to your right. Be careful, as there are some enemies and a claymore as you approach the upper floor.

Intel Visual High Ground

When you reach the upper floor, go to the room located at the far right corner of the corridor.

Intel Visual High Ground

As you enter the room, you will find the Intel sitting on the wooden table in the middle of the room.

Intel 4 (Geiger Counter)

This Intel requires you to use your Geiger Counter to locate it. It can spawn in different locations within the same area. However, one of the most common and confusing locations for many is a small hut by the side of the road.

Intel Map High Ground

Intel Visual High Ground

If your Geiger Counter points you toward this small hut, you will notice that the hut is locked. You have two ways to obtain the Intel inside of this hut.

The first is quite simple. All you need to do is to go to the left of the hut and stand by the wall. It will give you a prompt to collect the Intel through the wall.

Intel Visual High Ground

The second and "legit" method to collect it is by asking your teammate in the chopper to shoot the door of the hut.

Intel Visual High Ground

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Military & Prestige ranks guide https://www.xfire.com/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2-military-prestige-ranks-guide/ https://www.xfire.com/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2-military-prestige-ranks-guide/#respond Wed, 23 Nov 2022 16:57:22 +0000 https://www.xfire.com/?p=196059 The seasonal prestige system returns with Season 1 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and Warzone 2. While many of the returning players from 2019's Modern Warfare might be familiar with the system, newer players can get confused.

Prestige Rank Featured

We've covered everything you need to know about the military ranks as well as the prestige ranks. We've also covered the various methods that you can use to rank up fast in Modern Warfare 2.

Military Ranks

Military ranks are the standard pre-season ranks you must achieve before hitting the first prestige. The military ranks unlock several default loadouts, gunsmith options, and default weapons for you to run in multiplayer and Warzone 2.

Military Rank Prestige Guide

You start with rank 1 and progress all the way up to rank 55 before you can hit prestige one. The military ranking is important and pretty much essential if you want to jump into any mode of the game, as it gives you access to your tactical and lethal equipment, field upgrades, killstreaks, and the perks. All of these are essential components in Multiplayer and Warzone 2.

Prestige Ranks

Once you've hit the max military rank of 55, you can continue to earn XP and rank up, earning prestige status at certain milestones. Each prestige rank rewards players with an animated emblem, allowing them to brag about their hard work.

Prestige Rank Prestige Guide

You can earn up to four prestige ranks in each season. Fret not if you cannot earn all the prestige ranks within a season though. You will be able to continue your progress in the following season to catch up with other players.

As mentioned earlier, you earn prestige ranks at certain milestone levels. The prestige rank milestones are as follows:

  • Prestige Rank 1: Reach rank 56.
  • Prestige Rank 2: Reach rank 100.
  • Prestige Rank 3: Reach rank 150.
  • Prestige Rank 4: Reach rank 200.
  • Prestige Rank 5: Reach rank 250.

Rank 250 is the level cap for each season. Once the new season is released, your seasonal prestige rank is reset back to 1. You need to grind your way back to 250, essentially from rank 56, to earn the new prestige ranks and get new emblems representing the new seasonal prestige ranks.

Seasonal Prestige Emblems Season

Note that if you haven't completed all prestige ranks in the previous season, you will continue from the previously acquired prestige rank.

How To Rank Up?

You can use various methods to rank up in Modern Warfare 2 to hit those big milestones.

Do Objectives

This is one of the most underrated methods that not many players talk about. Many players tend to go for higher kills in each game. While that may give you a good XP boost, most of it will come from playing the objectives.

Objective Based Game Mode Prestige Guide

Play objective-based game modes like Domination and Hardpoint. Try to play the objectives as much as possible to gain a lot of XP.

Daily Challenges

Complete your daily challenges across both Multiplayer and Special Ops. The challenges are fairly easy, and you earn up to 2,500 XP points for just one challenge completion. You can complete three daily challenges for 7,500 XP points.

Daily Challenges Mp Prestige Guide

You also have daily challenges specific to the Special Ops mode. Go to the mode, and check the challenges. The challenges are quite easy and mostly mission-related.

Bonus Challenges

Once you've completed your three daily challenges, you get two optional bonus challenges. You can only do one of these two challenges and earn 10,000 XP. These challenges are also extremely easy and do not take much time.

Bonus Challenges Mp Prestige Guide

The same applies to Special Ops. Once you've gone through the three daily challenges, you will get a set of two optional bonus challenges. You can complete any one of the challenges to earn 10,000 XP.

If you combine daily and bonus challenges across Multiplayer and Special Ops, you get a lot of XP in a single day. If you have double XP tokens, utilize them to get even more XP.

Xp Tokens Prestige Guide

Career Challenges

You can go for career challenges that are split into different milestones. Each milestone nets you a tremendous amount of XP points. Career challenges are always available for you to complete, and there are plenty of them.

Career Challenges Prestige Guide

In addition to the XP, you also unlock unique calling cards to complete the challenges.

Spec Ops Intel

Special Ops mode has plenty of Intel scattered around the map in all of its missions. Collect the Intel and do weekly star challenges to earn XP and other rewards.

Feel free to check out our Spec Ops Intel guides and how to collect them.

DMZ Mode

DMZ mode is the new talk of the town and rewards players with a lot of XP if played right. There is a full chain of rewards associated specifically with the DMZ mode.

Dmz Rewards Prestige Rank

You can earn not only a ton of XP points but also unique weapon blueprints, calling cards, and emblems. If you're lost in navigating the new mode, check out our DMZ guide.

Everything you need to know about DMZ (Faction Missions, Contrabands, Strongholds, Keys) https://www.xfire.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-dmz-faction-missions-contrabands-strongholds-keys/ https://www.xfire.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-dmz-faction-missions-contrabands-strongholds-keys/#respond Wed, 23 Nov 2022 04:25:45 +0000 https://www.xfire.com/?p=195463 DMZ is a new open-world free-to-play mode added alongside Call of Duty Warzone 2.0. DMZ is a narrative-focused extraction-based survival mode where you drop into the new Al Mazrah map in a squad of three to loot, gather resources, and exfil for unique rewards such as calling cards and emblems. Yes, DMZ shares the same map as Warzone 2.0.

Dmz Guide Featured

The primary objective of the mode is to exfil with as many resources and as much cash as possible. This is done by completing different faction missions and contracts, and looting supply caches. You also get to do other activities that involve fighting the AI bots guarding different enemy outposts.

The majority of the enemies that you will face in DMZ will be bots. You rarely encounter other players, as the player count is around 60. All the players are usually busy completing their own faction missions.

Each deployment lasts 25 minutes before radiation starts to engulf the circle. A singular radiation zone will expand after the 25 minutes timer ends. DMZ offers a range of new rewards, including weapon blueprints, cosmetic items such as Operator skins, and other items that facilitates your bragging rights.

In this article, we've covered everything you need to know about the new mode and how you can survive the deadly AI combatants of Al Mazrah.

The Loadout

Before we get into exploring Al Mazrah, let's talk about the loadout system in DMZ mode. You have very limited options, and much of it is directly connected to each DMZ deployment you go through.

Loadout Screen Dmz

You can set your loadout and choose the weapons before you drop into the map. However, you are limited to only the equipment you have on hand. You can go in with either insured or contraband weapons - more on them below.

At this point just note that, in DMZ, if you take something with you in the game that is not: (1) an insured weapon; (2) tactical/lethal equipment; or (3) a field upgrade and die with it, you will lose those items until you can find them again, in-game.

This includes contraband weapons, keys, killstreaks, gas masks, armor carriers, and even the self-revive kit. Anything you have in your On-Soldier inventory and backpack will be lost if you've died in the game.

As noted, you can re-equip your tactical and lethal equipment and the field upgrade without limitation. These items are not lost upon your death. The only way to ensure you have the contraband, keys and other items such as the killstreaks and gas masks for your next match is to exfil with them.

It is also important to know that only the player with the weapon equipped will be able to keep that weapon in their contraband stash upon exfil. The other players will not unlock the same weapon if they do not have it equipped or in their inventory.

DMZ has two types of mode-specific inventories: On-Soldier inventory and your backpack.

On-Soldier Inventory

The On-Soldier inventory is your main storage that carries all your important equipment, such as the armor carrier, the gas mask, the killstreaks, and the self-revive kit. You can only carry four items at a time, and they are always available as long as you exfil with the items on you. If you die with them in DMZ, they will be lost forever until you find them again on your next run.

On Soldier Inventory Dmz

Backpack

The backpack carries all your keys that you find on your DMZ runs. It also shows you the size of your backpack (small or large). The larger the backpack is, the more keys you can carry. We will talk more about the keys below. These keys are critical to you getting valuable loot.

Backpack Image Dmz

Items other than the weapons are automatically converted into XP when you exfil. The looted items include the items that are worth the cash and can be sold at the Buy Station.

Insured & Contraband Weapons

You can equip two types of weapons in DMZ: Insured and Contraband. Both weapon types have different mechanics.

Contraband Weapons

Contraband weapons are the staple weapons found in DMZ. You can take these weapons into DMZ, but the Contraband weapon is lost forever if you die. You cannot modify Contraband weapons through Gunsmith.

Contraband Weapons Stash Dmz

You get six Contraband weapons by default to start your DMZ journey. But be careful of what weapons you equip, as they will be lost forever if you do not exfil with them during your run.

The Contraband weapons are easily recognized thanks to a red band with a label that reads 'Contraband.'

Insured Weapons

The Insured weapons are the regular weapons that you can modify via Gunsmith. You can modify them with your desired attachments and equip them for your DMZ run. You won't lose the weapon when you die. However, you will get a 2-hour long cooldown timer before you can take the insured weapon into the game again.

Insured Weapon M Dmz

You have three insured weapon slots. The first slot is open by default, while the rest you must unlock by completing the faction missions (see below). You can reduce this cooldown timer by exfiling with cash. The more cash you exfil with, the more the timer will go down.

Insured Slot Timer Dmz

Faction Missions

You're now set up and ready to deploy into your first DMZ game. But what do you do? For starters, you've got several faction missions to complete. Faction missions are narrative-based missions that provide exclusive rewards and a lot of XP.

DMZ has three main factions: Legion, White Lotus, and Black Mous. Each of these factions offers multiple missions that you can complete in Al Mazrah. You can only have up to three active missions during each run. Each faction has tiers attached to them.

Faction Mission Lotus Stronghold Dmz

The three factions have difficulty levels, with Legion being the easiest and Black Mous being the hardest. To begin, you will have four tier 1 faction missions available under the Legion faction. You can select up to three of these four missions and jump into the action.

Each faction has multiple tier levels. The missions get challenging with increasing tiers. The max tier level is 3.

Complete all tier 1 missions to unlock Legion's tier 2 faction missions. Complete all tier 2 to unlock tier 3 missions. The same goes for the White Lotus faction. White Lotus doesn't have any tier 3 missions. To unlock the final faction, complete tier 2 missions for Legion and White Lotus. Black Mous faction only has tier 1 missions.

As you progress through the faction missions, be mindful of your equipment. Try to gather valuable resources and hold onto them. Valuable resources include a 3-plate armor carrier, a self-revive kit, gas masks, and strong contraband.

Key Stash

Earlier, we mentioned that the backpack that can be used to store keys. Keys play an important role in DMZ as they are used to access locked areas with high-value loot. To succeed in DMZ, you must deploy with a mindset geared toward looting high-value items.

Key Stash Image Dmz

What are keys used for?

The keys unlock rooms and buildings with valuable loot. The building a key belongs to is labeled on the key.

Locked Door For Key Dmz

There are mainly two types of keys - POI keys and Regular Keys. The POI keys have an icon beside them that opens up the main POI building for you to loot.

The regular keys do not have any icon, but instead feature a description that you must use to find the hidden area or a building to unlock the loot.

How to get keys?

There are several methods you can use to obtain the keys in DMZ. The most convenient way of getting the key is also one of the most expensive methods. You can always buy one key for $30k from the Buy Station. The key you buy will be random for each run and may unlock the same or a different building.

K Key Dmz

The second and one of the best methods to obtain keys is to visit the Post Office POI. The Post Office always has a bunch of keys that you can scavenge. The Post Office is represented by an envelope icon on your tac map.

Post Office Poi Dmz

Finally, a rare way to obtain keys to getting them off soldiers. Some high-value soldiers, such as Juggernaut or the Chemist, may drop keys. Even regular soldiers can drop the keys, but very rarely. You can also complete HVT contracts to get the keys by defeating the target. Duffle bags and supply caches may also contain random keys.

Loot Key Dmz

Key Durability

The keys in DMZ can have multiple uses. The uses are represented by little bars beside them. Once you've used all the bars, your key will be destroyed, and you must find a new one in DMZ. There are over 100 different keys, and the one you get is always random. It is all luck-based.

Key Uses Dmz

The RNG is frustrating for players looking for a specific key, and the specific key hunt will surely come into play, given there are some easter eggs that may require specific keys to unlock some caches or rooms.

Contracts

DMZ features a wide range of contracts that players can complete for cash and XP. The contracts are represented with a green phone icon on your tac map. Currently, the game features nine different contract types, and they are as follows:

Eliminate HVT

By accepting this contract, you need to find a high-value target guarded by several armored AQ soldiers. Once you defeat the target, you will get high-value rewards.

Eliminate Hvt Image Dmz

Destroy Supplies

In this contract, you are tasked with planting bombs at two different sites. The sites are heavily guarded by the AQ soldiers. Defeat the soldiers, and plant the explosives.

Destroy Supplies Image Dmz

Secure Intel

In Secure Intel, you need to go to the marked location to find Intel on hard drives. Then you must go to the marked communication tower and upload the given data through it.

Secure Intel Image Dmz

Rescue Hostage

In this contract, you must go to the marked location and rescue a hostage from the AQ soldiers. You must carry the hostage to the nearest exfil point marked on your tac map.

Hostage Rescue Dmz

Secure Nuclear Material

In this contract, you are first tasked to the marked location to pick up a Geiger Counter. Once you get the Geiger Counter, you must go to the marked regions to locate the radioactive cache.

Secure Nuclear Material Image Dmz

Ship Cargo

In this contract, you need to deliver some goods using a boat. You will face some resistance, such as an enemy chopper, as you drive to the marked location.

Ship Cargo Image

Deliver Cargo

Deliver Cargo is similar to Ship Cargo, but in this case, you must deliver the goods by driving an armored truck to the marked location on land.

Deliver Cargo Image

Raid Weapon Stash

In this contract, you are tasked to go to the marked location and loot a protected safely. The safe will be protected by several AQ soldiers. Eliminate the soldiers, and open the safe to get the rewards.

Raid Weapon Stash Dmz

Hunt Squad

Finally, we have the Hunt Squad contract, which is similar to the bounty contracts found in Warzone 1. In this contract, you are tasked with eliminating a real enemy team.

Hunt Squad Zone Dmz

World Activites

Like the Contracts, DMZ offers several world activities for players to keep busy. These world activities are also part of several faction missions and reward players generously.

The world activities are marked with a plain white icon on the map. However, each icon is different from the others and represents different missions. Here is a list of all the world activities found in DMZ.

UAV Towers

You can activate UAV towers in DMZ that activate a UAV within a certain radius of the tower, revealing all AI combatants and real enemy players.

Uav Tower Image Dmz

SAM Sites

These SAM Sites offer anti-air turrets that players can use to knock down cargo planes flying in the sky. Go to these turrets and capture them. They will then destroy any incoming cargo planes. When you destroy these cargo planes, they drop supply boxes carrying high-value loot.

Sam Site Image Dmz

Safes

These safes are located throughout Al Mazrah, and players can crack them open to find a ton of cash. However, it takes time to drill open the crack. As the drill eats away the safe, you get a progress bar, but it also alerts the nearby AI combatants and other enemy players. It is a high-risk but high-reward activity.

Safe Drilling Image Dmz

Hidden Caches

Hidden Caches are not visible on the tac map but spawn in fixed locations. You can find a lot of good loot inside these hidden caches. If you manage to memorize the locations of these hidden caches, you can walk away with plenty of cash and other high-value loot.

Hidden Caches Dmz

Strongholds

Strongholds are highly guarded enemy posts with high-value items, including unique weapon blueprints. You need a stronghold keycard to access the buildings in these strongholds. More on the strongholds below.

Strongholds

Strongholds are highly fortified and similar to the Black Sites found in Warzone 2. Infiltrating strongholds is considered the main method of obtaining new weapon contraband and new intel documents for faction missions. Strongholds are home to several unique and rare loot items.

Strongholds On Tac Map Dmz

To access the strongholds, you need a stronghold keycard. You can obtain the keycard in two ways. The first method is eliminating the AQ soldiers in and around the stronghold. Or the AQ soldiers patrolling the area in general. One of the guards will eventually drop a blue keycard, representing the stronghold keycard.

Stronghold Keycard Dropped Dmz

The second method is to buy it directly from the Buy Station. The stronghold keycard costs $5k at the Buy Station.

Weapon Case Event

When you drop into a game of DMZ, you will notice a yellow highlighted region with a briefcase in the middle of it having a "?" icon on it. This is a weapon case event.

Weapon Case Event Image Dmz

The weapon case event has a whole chain of rewards associated with it that give you exclusive rewards only obtainable through this event. The obtained cosmetic items can then be used in both Call of Duty multiplayer and Warzone 2.

You only get one weapon case event per game, so if other players manage to complete it before you, you will need to restart the game. You can expect to run into real enemy players near the weapon case, as it is a hot zone for many.

When you enter the yellow region, you will encounter several AQ soldiers and a heavily armored juggernaut. Similar to the Chemist, when you are near the juggernaut, you will get an on-screen notification that the juggernaut is nearby.

Juggernaut Weapon Case Dmz

You must defeat the juggernaut, and he will drop a weapon case. You need to pick up the weapon case and exfil with it. The only issue here is that your location is visible on the map to other players as soon as you pick it up.

Weapon Case Dropped Dmz

All the players in the lobby are notified of your location and that you are trying to exfil with the weapon case. You can see how this could be a problem and make things challenging!

If other players kill you, they can grab the case and exfil with it to claim the rewards. The same is true for you. You can also eliminate other players, grab their weapon case, and exfil to claim the rewards.

You can exfil with the weapon case seven times. This means you must play through seven different DMZ games and exfil successfully with the weapon case to earn all seven rewards.

Of Weapon Case Rewards Dmz

Weapon Case Rewards

The following is a list of all the rewards you can earn through each weapon case exfil.

  • Caution Tape RPK Weapon Blueprint
Requirement: Exfiltrate with the Weapon Case for the first time.
  • Biohazard Weapon Sticker
Requirement: Exfiltrate with the Weapon Case for the second time.
  • Jungle Incognito Helicopter Skin
Requirement: Exfiltrate with the Weapon Case for the third time.
  • Gas Gas Gas Weapon Charm
Requirement: Exfiltrate with the Weapon Case for the fourth time.
  • Weapon Crate Calling Card
Requirement: Exfiltrate with the Weapon Case for the fifth time.
  • Weapon Crate Emblem
Requirement: Exfiltrate with the Weapon Case for the sixth time.
  • Biohazard Konig Operator Skin
Requirement: Exfiltrate with the Weapon Case for the seventh time.

Radiation Zone

The radiation zone is marked with a biohazard icon on the map and has a fixed yellow highlighted region. This location is highly toxic, and you will take damage if you go inside the area without a gas mask.

Radiation Zone Dmz

Luckily, you can get gas masks quite easily in Al Mazrah. You can kill the AQ soldiers in and around the radiation zone, and they will drop the gas mask for you to equip. You can even find durable gas masks by looting orange supply boxes found inside the zone. Durable gas masks last longer than regular gas masks.

Gas Mask Radiation Zone Dmz

The radiation zone starts to engulf all of Al Mazrah once the 25 minutes timer ends. The radiation zone starts to get bigger and bigger until all of Al Mazrah has been covered by the yellow circle. As the circle touches the exfil points, they will also keep disappearing.

The zone is also home to the Chemist. He is a stronghold boss found inside the zone, wearing a bright yellow hazmat suit. If you kill the Chemist, you get a rare and unique M13B 'Health Hazard' weapon blueprint. Exfil with the weapon to have it as contraband, unlock it for future DMZ runs, and permanently unlock the M13B for use in Multiplayer and Warzone 2.

Feel free to check out our dedicated guide on acquiring the M13B blueprint for yourself.

Exfil

Once you're satisfied with the scavenged loot, you may prepare for the exfil. Look for the exfil location represented by a blue icon on the tac-map. You can exfil at any time you wish during your match by interacting with the blue exfil icon you see on your tac map. Whether its 5 seconds into the match or 10 minutes.

Exfil Icon Dmz

Go to the location, and interact with the green flare smoke to call in the chopper. It will take a few minutes before the chopper arrives.

You may need to defend yourself from the storming AQ soldiers trying to stop you from exfiltrating. Stay in cover and fend them off until the chopper arrives. Remember, if you die, you lose all the looted items.

When the chopper arrives, you get a 35-second timer before you, and your squad can board the chopper. If all the team members enter the chopper, the timer is automatically reduced to 5 seconds.

Exfil Heavy Chopper Arrives Dmz

You complete the run of DMZ once you successfully exfil with all your looted items and cash. Any items that you may not have sold at the Buy Station will automatically be converted into XP and cash.

How to fix 'Scan and Repair' crash error for Modern Warfare II https://www.xfire.com/how-to-fix-scan-and-repair-crash-error-for-modern-warfare-ii/ https://www.xfire.com/how-to-fix-scan-and-repair-crash-error-for-modern-warfare-ii/#respond Mon, 21 Nov 2022 15:15:50 +0000 https://www.xfire.com/?p=195035 Every year, the launch of latest Call of Duty game is usually fairly rocky, due in part to a steady stream of thousands, if not millions, of players trying to log in to their favorite game and start the grind. Many players experience logging-in issues and crashes.

Scan And Repair Fix Mw Error

As expected, the same happened with the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. PC players have been experiencing constant crashes in their game, down to the point where it is barely playable.

Every time players crash, they are presented with the infamous 'Scan and Repair' error that many others have also experienced in Warzone and Call of Duty: Vanguard. That's right, the 'Scan and Repair' error is back to haunt CoD players.

Unlike our previous "universal" solution that fixes most Battle.net games' 'Scan and Repair' errors, Modern Warfare 2 has a slightly different solution.

You may also try our previous solution, if you're a Battle.net player. However, players on Steam are also experiencing the issue and may be unable to fix it with the Battle.net-exclusive solution. But we do not recommend going for the old solution unless you've tried the one given below.

Here's how you can fix the Modern Warfare 2 'Scan and Repair' error on your PC, regardless of your game launcher (Steam or Battle.net). The solution is as simple as going to your in-game settings menu and tweaking a single option.

  1. First, go to the Settings menu.
    Mw Scan And Repair Fix
  2. Go to Interface.
    Mw Scan And Repair Fix
  3. Scroll down until you see Parallax Effects, and turn if off.
    Mw Scan And Repair Fix

This option may or may not work for you. But it can certainly allow you to stay in the game for much longer than before. As for the official fix, we will have to wait a few weeks until the game stabilizes.

This has always been the case with the launch of Call of Duty games over the past few years. Optimizations and stability fixes will soon come as we get closer to Season 1 of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

New Battle Pass System Explained - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2.0 https://www.xfire.com/new-battle-pass-system-explained-call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2-warzone-2-0/ https://www.xfire.com/new-battle-pass-system-explained-call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2-warzone-2-0/#respond Sun, 20 Nov 2022 14:02:20 +0000 https://www.xfire.com/?p=194542 Call of Duty has completely overhauled the Battle Pass system in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 while still retaining the "traditional" functionality of the pass.

New Battle Pass System Guide Featured

With the release of Season 1, we've finally got to have our first look at the new Battle Pass, and in this guide, we discuss everything you need to know about the new system. This is how the new Battle Pass works in both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.

When you open your Battle Pass tab, you will notice a complete combat map referred to as the Area of Operations (AO), instead of the conventional horizontal long strip of tiered content.

With Season 1's release, the AO you see is called The Season 1 Battle Pass AO and is further divided into 21 different areas called the Combat Sectors. These Combat Sectors start from A0 and finish at A20.

A0 is a bonus sector that gives you instant rewards for purchasing the Battle Pass, similar to how you got the rewards in the previous games and their iteration of the Battle Pass. The real grind begins from sector A1.

You must complete all twenty sectors to complete the Battle Pass and earn the final reward. To complete the sectors, you must earn Battle Token Tier Skips. Do not worry, as you earn these by playing the game.

Battle Token Tier Skip New Bp System

Each sector has five rewards, one being the High-Value Target (HVT). The HVT within a sector is the main item of interest. To unlock the HVT, you must first claim all other four rewards within the sector. Once you've claimed all four, you can claim the HVT, which will complete your sector.

A Sector Detailed Look New Bp System

Each reward costs 1 Battle Token Tier Skip to unlock. This means you need 5 Battle Token Tier Skips to complete one full sector. Like the previous passes, you get free and premium content within the Battle Pass AO. The free items are labeled with a 'Free' tag.

Free Label New Bp System

The image of the Season 1 Battle Pass AO focusing on combat sector A1 shows The Orbiter weapon blueprint as the HVT. The four "minor" rewards are the calling card, a double weapon XP token, an emblem, and a free weapon charm.

A Sector Overview New Bp System

Once you've completed sector A1, you can choose to move to either A2 or A3. This is where the new Battle Pass system gives you a little bit of autonomy in choosing what rewards you want to earn first. You can only move to the sectors adjacent to the sector you've currently completed. That means you can only move to the sectors directly connected to your completed sector.

You still need to complete both A2 and A3 for the final reward, but if you find that you're interested in the vehicle skin found in A2 more than the Operator skin in A3, for example, you are free to go with A2 first.

A Sector Overview New Bp System

So, there is a total of 20 combat sectors in a single Battle Pass AO. Each sector has five rewards unlockable using the Battle Token Tier Skips. This means there are 100 rewards, prompting you to earn 100 Battle Token Tier Skips to complete the Battle Pass AO fully.

All Base Weapon Unlock Requirements (Receivers) in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 https://www.xfire.com/all-base-weapon-unlock-requirements-receivers-in-call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2/ https://www.xfire.com/all-base-weapon-unlock-requirements-receivers-in-call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2/#respond Sun, 20 Nov 2022 13:48:16 +0000 https://www.xfire.com/?p=194531 Old and new COD players are perplexed with the Weapon Platforms and Receiver system introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The new system can get a bit hectic to get used to, but it isn't that difficult once you've understood the general idea of how the Receivers work.

Weapon Unlock Requirements Featured

In summary, each new Weapon Platform has weapons of different categories (Assault Rifles, Battle Rifles, SMGs, etc.) in that single platform. By default, one weapon within each platform is already unlocked. You can unlock the rest of the weapons by leveling up the default weapon to reach a specific level, at which point the Receiver for the next weapon will unlock.

The Receivers essentially convert your weapon into a completely different weapon. Some weapons require you to unlock weapons in a different Weapon Platform before you can unlock them. This going back and forth between platforms can be confusing.

The new UI in Modern Warfare 2 doesn't make it any easier to navigate the weapon platforms. In this article, we've listed all the weapons and their respective Weapon Platforms, Receivers, and unlock requirements, so you can easily identify what weapon you must level up to unlock the weapon of your choice.

We've separated each table into a specific category (Assault Rifles, Battle Rifles, SMGs, etc.). The tables will be updated as well get more weapons in the future seasons.

Zaya Spec Ops mission also contains a total of ten Intel pieces for players to collect and learn more about the story that revolves around the new Modern Warfare 2.

Defender Mt Zaya Intel Featured

In this guide, we show you the locations of all ten Modern Warfare 2 Intel locations for Defender: Mt. Zaya, along with the possible alternative spawn locations wherever applicable.

Video Guide

Intel 1

The first Intel is inside the main HQ building right at spawn.

Intel Visual Zaya

You will find the Intel on a wooden box on one of the storage shelves.

Intel Map Zaya

Intel Visual Zaya

Intel 2

The Intel is at site C.

Intel Map Zaya

Go inside the building through the right doorway, and you will see the Intel on a bench by the lockers.

Intel Visual Zaya

Intel Visual Zaya

Intel 3

The Intel is in the office building at site B.

Intel Visual Zaya

Enter the office, and you will find the Intel on the computer desk.

Intel Map Zaya

Intel Visual Zaya

Intel 4

The Intel is inside the Radar Dome building at site B.

Intel Visual Zaya

Enter the building, and you will see the Intel on the table to your right.

Intel Map Zaya

Intel Visual Zaya

Intel 5

The Intel is at site A in the middle of some equipment on your right when you enter site A (the bunker) via the western entrance.

Intel Map Zaya

Intel Visual Zaya

Intel 6

Intel 6 is also at site A (the bunker). You can enter through the southern main bunker entrance.

Intel Visual Zaya

As you descend into the bunker, you will find a control panel to your left with Intel resting on top of it.

Intel Map Zaya

Intel Visual Zaya

Intel 7

There are three possible locations for Intel 7 to spawn inside of the same building. You can find Intel 7 inside a blue building with a dome and a giant telescope inside of it. The building is just behind you as you spawn and right outside site C.

Intel Map Zaya

Intel Visual Zaya

Possible Spawn Location 1

Go through the back door (shown in the image above), and you will find the first Intel location directly in front of you on the table in a small office space.

Intel Visual Zaya

Intel Visual Zaya

Possible Spawn Location 2

The second possible spawn location is upstairs. Take the stairs to the first floor.

Intel Visual Zaya

As soon as you reach the first floor, turn to your left, and you will find another small office space with some tables and computers. The Intel can spawn on the leftmost table.

Intel Visual Zaya

Possible Spawn Location 3

The final spawn location is in the middle of the building where the giant telescope is. Jump in the middle, and you will find some control panels with a wide computer screen. The Intel can spawn next to it.

Intel Visual Zaya

Intel Visual Zaya

Intel 8

Once again, Intel 8 also has two possible spawn locations inside the main HQ building.

Intel Map Zaya

Intel Visual Zaya

Possible Spawn Location 1

Go through the doors shown in the image above, and you will find the first Intel inside an office drawer to your immediate right.

Intel Visual Zaya

Possible Spawn Location 2

If you don't find the Intel at the first spot, continue moving towards the northern double doors and enter the small office by the double doors.

Intel Visual Zaya

You will find the Intel inside the open cabinet.

Intel Visual Zaya

Intel 9

This Intel is quite interesting as it requires you to spend $20,000 in-game cash at a vending machine found in a small building near site A.

Intel Map Zaya

Intel Visual Zaya

You will find the vending machine to your right when you enter the building. You can interact with its keypad to spend $20,000 (if you have that amount).

Intel Visual Zaya

You will get Intel in the vending machine collector when you spend the money.

Intel Visual Zaya

Fortunately, when you're doing this, both you and your teammate will be able to collect the Intel. So the best way to collect the Intel is to work with your teammate and pool the money together.

Make sure you do not spend any money until around 4-5. You can start the rounds early by interacting with the radio at the HQ. Starting the rounds early gives bonus cash to both players.

Early Wave Start Radio

By round 4 or 5, you can ask your friend to drop all the money for you, which should get you up to $20,000.

Intel 10

The last Intel piece is a bit tricky to get to. It is inside a locked room. The room is the same as the briefing room you get into as your teammate watches the briefing video at the start of this spec ops mission.

Intel Map Zaya

Intel Visual Zaya

The door is locked, and you cannot enter the room. The Intel does not spawn during the mission briefing, so it must be collected once the mission has started.

Intel Visual Zaya

While we're not quite sure what the proper method of opening the door is, players have speculated that it has a chance of opening on wave 6. Or there is a key that the juggernaut drops on wave 6. However, there is a guaranteed method to get into the room as early as wave 1.

For this to work, you need to be in an assault suit. You can get the assault suit in two ways - You will either have it as part of your assault kit if it is upgraded to tier 3, or you can purchase it from the buy station in the game. You can learn more about the kits here.

Intel Visual Zaya

Equip the assault suit, and try to unlock the door. You will observe that the door just outright opens.

Intel Visual Zaya

You can now enter the room. But there is a bit of a problem. Whenever you try to get to the Intel on the table. You are teleported outside of the room before you can pick it up.

Intel Visual Zaya

To pick it up, you must first unequip your assault suit. Then, simply run to the Intel and spam your interact button to collect it before you are teleported out again.

This is easy for PC players, but controller players might need to change their controller settings to 'prioritize interact' or 'tap to interact.'

Rewards

You also unlock exclusive rewards for collecting the Intel fragment across all spec ops mission maps.

These help build the Call of Duty world and add depth to the story.

Low Profile Intel Featured

We've also seen these pieces of Intel in numerous previous games, such as Black Ops III, Advance Warfare, Black Ops IV, Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2, Warzone, Modern Warfare (2019), and now Modern Warfare II (2022).

The Intel in Modern Warfare 2 is scattered in different parts of different levels or maps in the game. They can come in different forms, such as radios, documents, pieces of torn paper, articles, videos, and photos. We've also seen the Intel in the vast open world of Black Ops Cold War Outbreak Zombies. Intel in Cold War Zombies was the main medium of story-telling.

The Intel has returned in Modern Warfare II, and we expect it to be added as we progress through the game's life cycle. Over 50 Intel spread across three different Spec Ops missions: Low Profile, Denied Area, and Defender: Mt. Zaya.

In this article, we've shared all 20 possible spawn locations for Intel found in Low Profile.

Intel Visual Low Profile

Intel 20

The final Intel is a bit tricky to get to. There are two ways you can get to this Intel. You can either directly jump on the roof of the building with the Intel, or use the radio tower to parachute and glide on top of the building.

If you miss the building by any chance while jumping out of the plane. Here's how you can get to it using the radio tower.

The radio tower is located in the northern section of the map.

However, Infinity Ward seems to have completely transformed the co-op experience in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for 2022.

Special Ops Guide Featured

The new two-player Special Ops cooperative experience features three missions that can be completed with friends or random players online through matchmaking. The semi-open world experience offers various methods through which you can complete the missions. You can either go guns blazing or take a more stealthy approach.

In this guide, you will learn everything there is to learn about the new cooperative mode experience in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

The Stars System

One of the new co-op features is the new stars. The stars act as a progression currency for your co-op mode. Stars can be earned by either completing the three launch missions or challenge-related missions.

The challenges reset daily, which is different from the Multiplayer daily challenges. You can earn up to nine stars through the three launch missions, and the stars earned through the missions reset every week. The stars play a role in upgrading your kit tiers—more on the kits below.

You can only earn up to nine stars per week, as far as the kit tier unlocks are concerned.

Kits

There are three main kits, each with up to 10 tiers. As you earn more stars, you unlock more tiers until you reach tier 10. Each tier makes the kit much better than the previous tier as it adds more attributes and benefits to the kit.

The co-op has three main kits: Assault, Medic, and Recon. Each of these kits has a set of equipment, weapons, perks, killstreaks, and field upgrades resembling that of a Multiplayer.

You must earn the weekly stars playing with the kit you want to level up. If you want to earn stars for the Recon kit, you must complete the mission and earn stars by selecting the Recon kit.

Assault

The Assault kit focuses on better protection and includes an Armor Box Field Upgrade. As you go up a tier by earning stars, you get better equipment, such as an Assault Suit, increased armor capacity, and free Stims to start the mission.

Assault Kit

  • Tier 1 - You can use 3 plates in your Plate Carrier instead of 2. Armor Box Field Upgrade: provide armor plates to your team every 2 minutes.
  • Tier 3 - Assault Suit: Once per mission, get full armor plates plus 60% extra health.
  • Tier 5 - Use grenades and equipment faster. Reload and switch weapons faster.
  • Tier 7 - Max armor inventory increased from 3 extra plates to 5.
  • Tier 10 - Begin missions with 2 Stims in your backpack.

Medic

The Medic kit, as the name suggests, provides healing support to the teammate. The kit focuses on quicker revives with a Revive Pistol Field Upgrade. Even if the downed player is far away, the pistol can be used to revive them by shooting at them. Upgraded tier levels feature a Double Time perk, anti-tank mines, and a free Bomb Drone.

Medic Kit

  • Tier 1 - Revive teammates twice as fast. Revive Pistol Field Upgrade: instant revive every 60 seconds.
  • Tier 3 - Begin missions with a Self-Revive.
  • Tier 5 - Bomb Drone: Once per mission, seek out and kill enemies with a deadly explosive.
  • Tier 7 - Tactical Sprint for twice as long. Move 30% faster while crouched.
  • Tier 10 - Begin missions with Claymores in your backpack. Begin missions with AT mines in your backpack.

Recon

The Recon kit focuses on gathering Intel and better equipment usage with a Snapshot Pule Field Upgrade to see nearby enemies. The upgraded tier levels add the ability to restock the lethal and tactical equipment automatically over time. You can also carry extra equipment and get a free Heartbeat Sensor and a Spotter scope in the backpack.

Recon Kit

  • Tier 1 - Snapshot Pulse Field Upgrade: throw to highlight nearby enemies every 60 seconds.
  • Tier 3 - Begin missions with a Sentry Gun Killstreak. Begin missions with a Cluster Mine Killstreak.
  • Tier 5 - Recharge lethal and tactical equipment every 60 seconds.
  • Tier 7 - Carry 1 extra lethal and one extra tactical grenades.
  • Tier 10 - Begin missions with a Heartbeat Sensor in your backpack. Begin missions with a Spotter Scope in your backpack.

The Missions

Three launch missions are introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Feel free to follow along with our video guides showing the complete walkthroughs of each mission.

The missions are as follows:

Low Profile

This is more of a stealth-based mission where you're required to infiltrate three different enemy sites and obtain radioactive objects from each location. You don't necessarily have to do it while sneaking, as you can do it much faster by just eliminating the enemies head-on.

Radioactive Object Low Profile

You can go with whatever kit you want for this mission. Our recommended kit would be the Assault kit.

Just be careful of the juggernaut at site C. He can instantly take you out. He is patrolling just outside the building. The best way to approach this mission is to land on site C, go to B, and then to A. We go to A last since the Exfil site is closer to A.

You get a Geiger counter device which helps you find the radioactive object in the buildings. The buildings are always the same but with slightly different object locations. The locations are not that far apart, maybe a room might be different, or a wooden cache in the same room might be different.

Low Profile Stars

Star Requirements

  • 1 Star: Complete Low Profile.
  • 2 Stars: Complete Low Profile in under 25:00 minutes.
  • 3 Stars: Complete Low Profile in under 15:00 minutes.

Denied Area

Denied Area is probably the hardest of all three as it is quite long and requires good teamwork to earn 3 stars. In this mission, you and your teammate need to go to different enemy camps and destroy their S.A.M turrets. However, getting to these locations is time-consuming, and each location is heavily guarded by soldiers.

The kit we recommend for this mission is the Assault kit.

Each location has one or multiple RPG users who will continuously fire rockets at you, dealing a lot of damage. Whenever you get to these locations, your priority should be to take out the soldiers wielding the RPG. They are usually on rooftops and watchtowers.

Rooftop Machine Gunner

You always need to keep a lookout for a vehicle as well. Without a vehicle, you cannot complete this mission in time for 3 stars. It is impossible. Luckily, each site has at least one vehicle for you to take to reach the next site. You will need to complete the mission a couple of times to know where they are parked exactly. But, generally, they are in obvious spots and easily identified.

Vehicle Denied Area

Another critical aspect of this mission is to always have the PILA rocket launcher on hand. When you drive from one S.A.M site to another, you will get a lot of resistance, including enemy helos. You must use the PILA rocket launchers to take them out. The best way to do this is always to have one teammate drive while the other climbs on top of the roof, defending the vehicle.

Enemy Helo Denied Area

In addition to the enemy helicoptors, you will also find enemy soldiers with RPGs on rooftops and watchtowers on the side of the road. The player on top of the car must use their AR or Sniper Rifle to take them out. The Sniper Rifle can get a bit hectic. We recommend swapping your pistol with one of the enemy dropped ARs and your Sniper Rifle with the PILA rocket launcher.

Rpg Solider Roof Denied Area

You can find the PILA rocket launcher at one of the Ammo refill stations or the back of the enemy cargo trucks.

Pila Launcher Ammo Station Denied Area

The first site is directly ahead of you when you start the mission. You can quickly go in there and plant the explosives to destroy the site.

Sam Site A

It is wise just to ignore the enemies and quickly rush into the building (highlighted in yellow) ahead of you. Go up to the roof and take out the enemy soldier controlling the rocket machine gun. This deals a ton of damage and will kill you easily. If you think you can dodge the shots by running in either direction, it won't work, as the AI in this game is intelligent. The soldier on the roof leads his shot so that you will run into the rockets.

While one teammate goes to take him out, the other can clear some enemies around the S.A.M (highlighted in purple) and plant the explosives. As soon as you plant, quickly grab the PILA rocket launcher from the weapons station (highlighted in red) on the right side of the building, hop into the car (highlighted in green), and go to the next marker. Remember, you also have flash grenades that you can use to immobilize enemy soldiers briefly.

This is when you will come across your first enemy helo. The chopper will always counter the first shot, thanks to their flares. However, a quick follow-up shot should easily take it down.

Enemy Helo Destroyed Denied Area

Now, you will get three more S.A.M sites spread across the map. You will get sites B, C, and D. According to our playthrough, the best order is to go to site B, then D, and then lastly, site C.

All Three Sam Sites Denied Area

Sites B and D will have the same enemies along with RPG and artillery users on top of the roof. Adopt the same strategy of rushing into the building, taking out the artillery soldier, and then focusing on planting the bomb.

When you get to site C, you must be extra careful as it has a juggernaut. These juggernauts are no joke and instantly take you out. The best way to infiltrate site C is to climb up to the site and go to the left-most entrance (highlighted in blue). It will also have a vehicle (highlighted in green) parked outside, which we will use to escape. You will also find a weapon's station (highlighted in red) by the vehicle in case you want to refill your armor and ammo.

Sam Site C Entrance

Take out some enemies, and enter the site. Keep hugging the left wall of the site, and carefully make your way to the S.A.M. Remember, the juggernaut is also here. Ask your teammate to shoot at him and distract him.

Juggernaut Sam Site C Denied Area

Since you have the Assault kit, put on your Assault Suit, which is essentially a "mini-juggernaut." You unlock it at tier 3. It is okay if you don't have it, but you must be fully armored up before entering site C. The Assault Suit gives you extra protection along with 60% extra health.

Plant the bomb, and communicate with your teammate to run to the vehicle parked outside the left-most entrance.

Planting Sam Site C Denied Area

Get into the vehicle and start driving toward the Exfil point. Once again, you will face a lot of resistance, including enemy helos and enemy vehicles filled with soldiers shooting at you.

Enemy Helo Sam Site C Denied Area

Enemy Vehicles And Soldiers Denied Area

Keep driving until you reach the Exfil site with a plane. Enter the back side of the plane to complete the mission successfully.

Plane Exfil Denied Area

This mission will certainly take quite a few tries, so don't be discouraged if you cannot complete it on your first, second, or even third try. The most important thing in this mission is communication with your teammate and doing individual roles effectively.

Denied Area Stars

Star Requirements

  • 1 Star: Complete Denied Area.
  • 2 Stars: Complete Denied Area in under 25:00 minutes.
  • 3 Stars: Complete Denied Area in under 16:00 minutes.

High Ground

High Ground is the first mission where both players are given two roles. Each player can either be a ground unit or pilot the chopper to assist their teammate on the ground. Whatever role you choose, both must work together as they both play a critical role in completing the mission under the given time requirement for three stars.

You will be on the ground team if you choose the chopper on the right.

Assault Ground Team Chopper

If you go for the one on the left, you will pilot the assisting chopper.

Attack Helicopter Chopper

The basic idea of this mission is to go to three different buildings and destroy the server equipment inside. Each building will have three pieces of server equipment you must destroy, and each is randomly generated anywhere inside the building.

Equipment In Office High Ground

There are two ways you can locate them. The player on the ground can stumble upon the equipment themselves as they explore the building, or the player in the chopper can mark it for them. They will appear as small boxes (similar to hitboxes in square shape) from the sky.

There are three main buildings that the ground player must go through and clear: Office, Market, and Compound. Each building gets progressively difficult to clear as more enemies try to stop you. Market and Compound also house the heavily-armored Juggernaut.

Let's discuss each role individually with some tips that may help you finish this mission in under 15 minutes, a three-star requirement.

When you're the pilot, you must ensure that you take out any incoming enemies. You must lead your shots to hit them accurately. The best way to do this is to switch to thermal vision when you start the mission. This will help you see enemies better.

Thermal Vision High Ground

Whenever you find enemies with an RPG, prioritize taking them out first, as they equally damage your chopper and player on the ground.

Rpg Enemy High Ground

If you find any vehicles coming your way, use your hydra rockets to take them out along with the enemies inside.

Vehicle Hydra Rocket High Ground

When the ground player reaches the building, the player in the chopper will find three boxes on the building. These boxes represent the locations of the server equipment inside the building. The player on the ground cannot see these boxes and instead must actually come across the equipment inside the building.

Box Equipment Chopper High Ground

Use the ping feature by aiming in the middle of the box, and the equipment will be marked on the screen for the ground player. This will make it easier for them to get to the equipment and destroy it.

Marked Equipment Ground High Ground

When the ground player gets to the equipment, they must shoot all over it. Make sure not to miss even a single piece of equipment, or it might not count. Try shooting up, down, left, and right. Ensure you cover everything in that general vicinity. Aim for all the screens, the server racks, and other equipment to make it easier.

Server Destroyed High Ground

When the ground player destroys the third piece of equipment, it will drop a hard drive. Be sure to grab it before moving to the next location.

Grab Hard Drive High Ground

The pilot can continue to follow the ground player while in the air and clear the incoming enemies using the chopper machine gun and hydra rockets.

Once the ground player has destroyed all three pieces of equipment in the first building, they can start making their way to the next one. In this case, it is the Market. The Market will also have a Juggernaut on the second floor.

Juggernaut Market Floor High Ground

Repeat the same with the next two buildings and clear. It is best to avoid the Juggernaut in both buildings. It takes a lot of rounds to take it down, whether the player on the ground shoots at it or the player in the chopper takes responsibility. It is faster to just avoid it. You can juke the Juggernaut and run past it, as they take a while to start shooting or make a turn.

But be very careful to be out of their line of sight as they will instantly take you out if you're not fast enough.

If several enemy soldiers are in a single place, like you might encounter at the Compound, use your flash or stun grenades to disorient them first and then shoot them.

Group Of Enemies Stunned High Ground

This gives you a window of opportunity to eliminate them. If you go in with all of them attentive toward you, you might get downed with shots from three or four enemies all at once.

Group Of Enemies Stunned High Ground

It is also worth noting that if one of the pieces of equipment is by the window, the chopper can use its hydra rockets to destroy it.

Equipment Destroyed Hydra High Ground

Equipment Destroyed Hydra High Ground

Once all buildings are clear, the ground player needs to make their way back where they started from. Now it's time for exfil, and you will face a lot of RPG enemy soldiers. The pilot must be quick and wary of these soldiers on the ground and take them out accordingly.

It is recommended that the ground player stick to the far-right side of the map and avoid the main road. Most of the enemies will come from the main road and beyond. If you stick to the right, you might hardly encounter any enemies.

Exfil Route High Ground

Get to the exfil point while the pilot player covers you and themselves. Then get into the exfil chopper to complete the mission.

Exfil Chopper Ground High Ground

  • 1 Star: Complete High Ground.
  • 2 Stars: Complete High Ground in under 20:00 minutes.
  • 3 Stars: Complete High Ground in under 15:00 minutes.

Defender: Mt. Zaya

The final mission is a six-wave survival mission where you must protect three sites from enemy soldiers. The soldiers will try to infiltrate the site and plant bombs. The mission starts with you first clearing bunker A and defusing the bomb.

Bunker Area A Mt Zaya

Defusing A Mt Zaya

We recommend using the Assault kit for this mission.

After that, the first of the six waves will begin. The first three waves are quite easy, as the enemies will only attack at one site (A, B, or C). And you must stay on that site, protecting it. The sites that will be attacked are always marked with a blue circle on your mini-map. While the first three waves are easy, be wary of the enemies with bomb vests on wave 3. They get close to you and explode, dealing massive damage. Shoot them as they're running toward you to ensure they explode at a fair distance.

Blue Circle Mini Map Mt Zaya

You must not let enemies inside the area, or else they will plant the bomb. Your mini-map is just as crucial as anything else in this mission. You must keep track of how far the red dots are. The UAV is active throughout the mission.

The criteria for getting 3 stars on this mission is having three or fewer planted bombs. If enemies manage to plant more than three, you won't get 3 stars. It doesn't matter, even if you defuse the bomb. It's the planting that counts.

Between each wave, you get some time to return to the HQ to stock up on ammo and buy whatever killstreaks you want.

Weapons Station Mt Zaya

We don't recommend buying anything for the first three waves as they are relatively easy to manage. Both teammates can stay on one site and defend it. However, the trouble starts when you reach wave 4.

On wave 4, you must defend two sites. Once again, this is slightly more challenging than waves 1 to 3, but not so much that you may be unable to prevent a plant.

Also, remember to keep buying reinforcements from the buy station between each round. These soldiers will keep multiplying the more you buy. These soldiers are useful because they can delay the planting of bombs by defending the sites until you get there. Don't forget to buy the Self-Revive kit as well.

Buy Station Mt Zaya

Ai Reinforcements Mt Zaya

You will get mortar teams on wave 4. These mortar teams will be slightly far off in the distance, firing on the marked sites. You can either stay at the site and defend until all enemies are defeated. Or go and defeat the mortar teams. You will always get two mortar teams, one for each site that needs defending.

Mortar Team Mt Zaya

When defending two sites, the marked sites are always random. So, you must improvise with your teammate. The main objective here is to prevent bomb planting. If you go out of your way to defeat the mortar teams, there is a high possibility that the incoming soldiers will reach the site and plant a bomb. This happened multiple times during our run.

It is best to stay at the site until all enemies are defeated. Both players must take positions at each site and defend it. Try to stay under a roof to avoid getting hit by the incoming mortar.

It is also worth noting that once you've defeated all enemies, the mortar teams will approach the sites and try to plant the bomb themselves. This is why it makes more sense to stay at the site and defend it from incoming enemy soldiers until none remain. Then you can take care of the mortar teams. The mortar team soldiers are armored.

Mortar Team Mt Zaya

Wave 5 also tasks players with defending two sites. This time, you will get enemies with riot shields. These riot shield soldiers are extremely dangerous. They block all shots and simultaneously shoot at you. The best way to deal with them is first to flash/stun them and quickly rush behind them to shoot their backs.

Riot Shield Soldier Mt Zaya

If you've taken high ground at a distance, there is a possibility that the riot shield soldiers might not come toward you and simply go to the site. This also allows you to shoot them in the back, killing them.

Finally, you reach wave 6, where you must protect all three sites. This is where the challenge goes up a notch. This wave also spawns in a juggernaut which is another issue. The best way to do this round is to first buy a drone missile killstreak and a sentry gun killstreak from the buy station.

Killstreaks Wave Mt Zaya

Go to B and place the sentry gun somewhere on a high ground that overlooks the whole site. The containers are a good spot. The sentry gun is put on site B because the area is out in the open, making it easier for the sentry gun to target the enemy soldiers, hence delaying the plant.

Sentry Gun Placement Site B Mt Zaya

If you deploy the sentry gun at either C or A, it won't be as effective inside the buildings (or bunker), and the confined space gives plenty of opportunities for the soldiers to plant.

After setting up the sentry gun, one player should defend C, while the other must overlook A. Keep defending the other sites until one of the sites have no enemies left, and then quickly rush back to B and defend it. The sentry will have enough ammo until you return to B to keep the enemies from planting the bomb.

The other player can also return to B once they've cleared the enemies at their site. However, one thing to look out for is the juggernaut.

Juggernaut Mt Zaya

This is where we will use our drone missile killstreak to take him out. As soon as you see him, take note of his position and take cover somewhere nearby but out of his line of sight.

Juggernaut Drone Missile Mt Zaya

Activate the killstreak, and use your position on the screen as a reference point to locate the juggernaut and guide the missile on him. One direct hit will take him out. That's the hard part done. Now continue eliminating any leftover enemies and you should be done with this mission.

Mt Zaya Stars

Star Requirements

  • 1 Star: Complete Defender: Mt. Zaya.
  • 2 Stars: Complete Defender: Mt. Zaya while allowing 9 or fewer bombs planted.
  • 3 Stars: Complete Defender: Mt. Zaya while allowing 3 or fewer bombs planted.

Gun Game: Mt. Zaya

The objective of the map is exactly the same as Defender: Mt. Zaya. However, the only difference is that you do not get to choose your weapons.

As the name suggests, it is a gun game. You will still have to protect the bomb sites and prevent the AQ soldiers from planting the bombs, but you will get a random weapon every 30 seconds.

You can see the timer on the left side of your screen indicated with a question mark and a timer below it.

Gun Game Mt Zaya Image

The requirements are still the same. You must not have more than 3 bomb plants to earn three stars.

Star Requirements

  • 1 Star: Complete Defender: Mt. Zaya.
  • 2 Stars: Complete Defender: Mt. Zaya while allowing 9 or fewer bombs planted.
  • 3 Stars: Complete Defender: Mt. Zaya while allowing 3 or fewer bombs planted.

Cooperative Career Progression & Rewards

Completing missions and earning stars allows you to unlock new rewards such as weapon charms, calling cards, and a weapon blueprint. These earned stars are called career stars.

Star Rewards

Career stars and weekly stars are two different things. The stars you earn from the missions are called weekly stars, and they reset every week. The weekly stars are used to upgrade your kit tiers.

Career stars are the total stars earned. These stars unlock new rewards, which you can check by going to the career stars menu. You can check the rewards and the required stars to unlock them.
