Call of Duty: Warzone versus Battlefield 2042

The second purely Battle Royale-style game in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Warzone was developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software and published by Activision. Warzone is part of the sub-brand of Call of Duty.Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Vanguard, as well as incorporating content and elements into the game. The game is free to play on Sony Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. COD: Warzone (recently updated to COD: Warzone Caldera) has three main modes: Battle Royale Mode, Plunder Mode, and Resurgence Mode, which was added in Black Ops Cold War Season 1. Plot and location There is generally no overarching plot for Call of Duty: Warzone, due to the lack of an actual campaign mode and the game’s focus on multiplayer versus matches. In COD: Warzone’s Battle Royale, players compete to be the last team. Warzone was released with his team of three players. In addition to loot found around the map and dropped by defeated players, players can collect cash to buy gear or acquire killstreaks from Buy Stations. Squads can also accept contracts to receive loot and cash. Gameplay Call of Duty: Warzone has multiplayer maps that can have up to 150 players in a multiplayer match (or up to 200 during certain events). At launch, only squads of 3 could be played, but later updates added Solos, Duos, and Quads as squad builds. In COD: Warzone, players begin a match with 150 health and two armor plates equipped. Each plate adds 50 extra health. If the player equips a total of 3 armor plates, the health will increase up to 300. A player can hold 5 plates at a time in addition to armor, or 8 plates if he has an Armor Satchel, to a max of 8 to 11 plates, including those in reserve. Buy Stations are crates located throughout the map. Players in Warzone may choose to use their Cash to purchase items such as "killstreaks" and gas masks at Buy Stations. To acquire Cash, it can be found by looting buildings and killing players that are carrying some on them. Squad Members can also be redeployed for $4,000 from the Buy Station. When the player is eliminated for the first time, a cutscene is shown in which they are captured and sent to the Gulag. If there are already other players in the concentration camp, players are queued and can watch the other fights from a higher vantage point. They can also throw stones at the participants in combat. Once they are queued up for combat in the Gulag, the player must face another player in a 1v1 battle. The winner of this match can be redeployed into the main Battle Royale game still ongoing. The loser may choose to continue as a spectator or quit the game. An exception is playing solo, as this will instead end the game for them immediately with no further options to be redeployed. Plunder mode has players race to collect 1 million in Cash within 30 minutes. A variant of this mode is Blood Money, which rewards players for kills and Contracts, as well as performing Finishing Moves. Finally, Resurgence mode lets players redeploy after a countdown, provided they have at least one teammate still alive and the Rebirth Countdown has not run out. Killing other players can help reduce the respawn timer by 2 to 7 seconds, Finishing Moves reduce it by 8 seconds, and other actions can have varying timer reduction. Visuals and other features Call of Duty: Warzone features cross-platform and cross-platform progression between Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War, and Call of Duty: Vanguard. Events can also occur randomly during the game, usually in the second game zone. In most modes, only one event can occur during a match. Examples of these events include the following: Jailbreak events allow you to bring downed players back to the map in concentration camps. Other players will be notified 1 minute before the jailbreak. In the Fire Sale event, the price of all items in the Buy Station are reduced by up to 100% for one minute. The only exception is the Loadout Drop Marker. Plus, Self-Revive kits are free and respawning squad members costs just $2,000 to redeploy during the event. Refill events refill Supply Crates on the map, allowing players to open them again. Resurrection events allow the player to respawn after death as long as one of his teammates is alive. Cash Drop Events spawn multiple Cash Drop crates around the map, similar to a regular Plunder Match. Heavy Weapon Crate events spawn multiple supply crates filled with high tier weapons. Titan Frenzy is a limited time even that had Kong and Godzilla be in a berserk status, attacking any players unfortunate enough to be within range. Players that deal the most damage to the titans receive a S.C.R.E.A.M. Device. Both COD: Modern Warfare and COD: Warzone shared a progression system, set as 55 Enlisted Ranks. This was replaced by 100 Officer Ranks that reset every new season. By the release of Season One, the progression system was standardized to 55 Military Ranks which unlock Black Ops Cold War items to be available for Warzone. By completing all the Military Ranks, players will earn Prestige level 1. Prestige can be increased to a max of 1000. While the Ranks reset to 1 at the start of each season, Prestige level do not reset and are retained.

Battlefield 2042 is the seventeenth entry in the Battlefield franchise and the twelfth of the main series. As the title implies, the game is set in a near-future world, with scifi weapons, gadgets, and vehicles. The game is multiplayer-centric and does not have a single-player campaign. It is also not available for play offline, requiring players to always be online. While it does not have a single player campaign the player has the option of playing against his AI bot in solo or co-op mode, similar to older entries in the series such as Battlefield 2. Released in November 2021, Battlefield 2042 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, it is the first to feature crossplay over different platforms. Plot and location Like Battlefield 2142, Battlefield 2042 has a backstory, despite having no single-player campaign. It follows the same continuity as Battlefield 3 and 4. After the events of the great War in 2020, extreme climate events that happen in the 2030s causing massive global cataclysms. More than 1.2 billion people have been displaced, as many government institutions have collapsed and borders have been closed. Many of these outcasts band together for mutual survival and become known as the Non-Patriated (aka Non-Pats) By 2040, a space debris storm triggers the Kessler effect. This led to most of the satellites orbiting Earth to stop functioning and crash. The world is thrown into chaos as a global blackout occurs, destroying communication networks and cutting supply lines. The United States and Russian Federation target each other as the culprit, leaving the Non-Pats to choose a side in the conflict. Gameplay Battlefield 2042 follows the same basic gameplay as other Battlefield games, but with a greater emphasis on multiplayer matchmaking. The game introduced a "Plus" system that allowed players to customize their weapons. Furthermore, the class system has undergone a major overhaul compared to previous games in the series. The player can control Specialists who fall into his four traditional Battlefield gameplay his classes: Assault, Engineer, Medic, and Recon. Specialists can use any weapon or gadget already unlocked, but each Specialist also has their own unique abilities. Visuals and other features Battlefield 2042 has three main game modes. All-Out Warfare, Battlefield Portal, and Hazard Zone. All-Out Warfare includes two main modes in the series, Breakthrough and Conquest. In Conquest, players participate in teams that battle each other for control points. Once all control points in a sector have been captured, the team takes control of that sector. Meanwhile, Breakthrough requires one team to attempt to capture another team's control points while the other team defends them. The second main mode included in the game is a community-driven platform called Battlefield Portal. Portal allows the player to custom create his multiplayer mode and select maps from his previous Battlefield games such as Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3. Players hosting a Battlefield Portal game can modify the conditions and elements further with some web scripting. The third and final mode available in Battlefield 2042 called Hazard Zone has players compete against one another to collect data drives from the fallen satellites. There are A.I. controlled enemies to deal with, but players can earn dark market credits in exchange for extracting the data drives. These dark market credits can be used to buy weapons and upgrades while playing Hazard mode.
