Randy Orton, one of the most prominent figures in WWE, has received strong medical advice from his team of doctors not to return to the ring at all. This shocking revelation has left fans across the globe in shock amidst rumors that Orton could be making his way back to the WWE anytime soon.
The much-loved WWE Superstar is known for his incredible agility and impressive in-ring skills as well as mic work. He's worked his way up the ranks of the WWE as he's constantly delivered high-octane performances that captivate audiences from around the globe.
Unfortunately, this recent development might force him to reconsider his future within the WWE.
Speaking to legendary wrestling journalist, Bill Apter, "Cowboy" Bob Orton, the WWE Hall of Famer and father of Randy Orton, revealed that doctors had recommended the two-time Royal Rumble winner to rest. But, Orton Sr. reiterates that Randy will likely not listen, saying "Randy will do what Randy wants to do."
Randy Orton has been sidelined for the better part of the past year after needing a back fusion. The Viper hasn't wrestled since although he was in Los Angeles for WrestleMania 39.
Fans are now left wondering about Orton's future. Will Orton heed his doctors' advice and step away from the ring for an extended period of time if not former? Or, will he, like he always has, deliver and defy the odds?
Orton's precarious situation proves that the WWE, while scripted, represents a serious risk for participants.
If it's any consolation, other wrestlers have recovered successfully from injuries similar to Orton, including his close friend and former tag team partner, Edge. After retiring in 2011 from a mix of neck as well as back injuries, the Rated-R Superstar returned at the 2020 Royal Rumble Match and has been a regular fixture on WWE television ever since.

For now, WWE fans can look forward to a drama-filled couple of weeks leading up to Night of Champions on May 27. It's Seth Rollins vs AJ Styles for the World Heavyweight Championship. But, the bigger story has to be Roman Reigns' decision NOT to defend his belt at the event. Instead, he's paired with Solo Sikoa to try and take back the Unified Tag Team belts from Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. On the other hand, The Tribal Chief's main rival, The American Nightmare, will continue his feud with The Beast Incarnate at the said event.
