Henry Cavill has seen The Flash – and he’s a fan

Despite his exit from DC, Henry Cavill remains one of the studio’s greatest fans.

Given what transpired being Henry Cavill and DC last year – he was reinstated as Man of Steel only to be sacked months later, we would understand if the Enola Homes actor bears no goodwill towards the studio. However, that is not the case.

Henry Cavill played Man of Steel in the DC universe of films before his exit last year.

According to Sasha Calle, who portrays Supergirl in The Flash, Cavill saw the film and thought highly of it.

The 27-year-old made this revelation during a recent press conference held in Latin America. Apparently, she had talked to him and Melissa Benoist in preparation for her role.

In her words, "Henry already saw the movie and he loved it."

In another interview, this time with Entertainment Weekly, Calle further revealed she met Cavill after the film wrapped up shooting. During their meeting, she asked what he made of her performance and, to her delight, approved of her.

In her words, "I asked him, 'Did I make you proud, cuz? Does Superman approve?' And he was like, 'Absolutely. You did a phenomenal job.' I think, to me, that meant the world, because it's Henry Cavill, Man of Steel."

By the way, Cavill was billed to make a cameo appearance in The Flash, alongside Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot. But the studio opted to cut their parts after co-CEOs Peter Safran and James Gunn came on board and decided to reboot the entire franchise.

Cavill joins a growing list of important personalities who approve and think highly of the forthcoming superhero film.

Cavill is one of several celebrities who think the film is great.

In March, reports emerged that Tom Cruise got a private screening of the film and loved it so much he called director Andy Muschietti to tell him the movie is "everything you want in a movie."

Celebrated author Stephen King also loved the film. Just last month, he took to his Twitter to praise the film and described it as "heartfelt, funny, and eye-popping."

Next, Cavill will feature in the third season of the fantasy drama series The Witcher. The show will arrive in two parts with the first one slated to arrive on June 29 and the second on July 27. Also, the show’s trailer dropped recently and, if it is anything to go by, will be just as exciting as the first and second seasons.

The Flash will arrive in theaters across the world on June 16.
