Resident Evil 4 Remake arrived on March 24 almost a year after its official reveal last June. Within two days of its release, the game sold over 3 million copies – a number that makes it the best-selling Resident Evil Remake ever. Furthermore, it pulled in over 168,000 concurrent Steam players at its peak, which is another record number in the Resident Evil franchise. Finally, the RE4 Remake has also received generally positive critical reviews.

Now, a few days after its release, dataminers have reportedly discovered evidence that Separate Ways DLC is in the works at Capcom, the game’s developer. Twitter user, ResiEvilCentral, shared this piece of information. This hints at a plan to release Separate Ways either as part of a free update or a DLC. However, fans should keep their expectations in check since it doesn’t come from official sources.

Thanks to Gosetsu from the RE Wiki Discord, they managed to datamine Resident Evil 4 Remake and find evidence that "The Another Order", otherwise known as "Separate Ways" exists in the files.

Separate Ways is an unlockable mode that appeared in the original game. It provides a fresh perspective from the main title as it gives players control of Ada Wong instead of Leon S. Kennedy. It's available in every version of Resident Evil 4 save for the initial GameCube release.

Despite lacking this DLC, the Resident Evil 4 Remake remains highly successful, pushing the all-time units sold of the series to over 135 million and further cementing its status as the most successful survival horror series of all time.

By the way, Capcom announced that The Mercenaries, another mode from the original Resident Evil, will arrive on April 7. It will be the first post-launch update for the remake and be available for free. A VR mode for the PSVR 2 is also coming in the future.
