Activision just released the mid-season update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. Season 3 Reloaded adds a ton of new content to the game.

The mid-season update for Warzone 2 brings some big changes to the DMZ game mode. The biggest piece of content added to the mode is the introduction of the new Koschei Complex area. This is the third map added to the game mode after Building 21 and Ashika Island. 

During the first part of the season, several missions alluded to the existence of a new area that will be accessible via secret bunkers. With the new update, players can now access the Koschei Complex when entering one of these secret entrances marked with a question mark icon on the map.

The new area is a huge maze with tougher AI foes and some cool new rewards. Players can also do some Tier 4 and Tier 5 Redacted Faction missions in the new area. The new zone is more geared toward mission objectives rather than PVP.

Players can loot the brand-new Night Vision Goggles (NVG) from AI enemies or players. There are sections of the map that are pitch black, forcing players to either equip the NVG, thermal optics, or a flashlight attachment.

Koschei Complex is also home to two new DMZ bosses: Rhino and Sniper. Rhino is a heavily armored boss equipped with a riot shield and a Desert Eagle. The Sniper relies on long-range engagements and a room full of traps. Killing the two bosses gives players access to a room with a weapons case which when extracted gives some cool rewards.

Season 3 Reloaded adds two new handguns to Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2: FTAC Siege and GS Magna. The FTAC Siege is the Modern Warfare 2 version of the TEC9, a machine pistol with an insane fire rate and swap speed. The GS Magna is an automatic .50 GS that hits hard and sends rounds downrange really quickly. Both handguns can be unlocked by completing in-game challenges.

The mid-season update also adds a new Camo Challenge similar to the previous season, in which players can complete a set of challenges to unlock a camo for every weapon category. Players can earn a new camo and Weapon Charm for completing all the camo challenges.

Season 3 Reloaded will also see the addition of Warzone Ranked Play Beta and a new Atomgrad Raid Episode. Players can compete in the new Ranked Play for Battle Royale to earn bonus rewards at the end of the season.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are available on PC, PS4, P5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
