Fans were recently upset with an announcement by Infinity Ward that Mission and Insured Slot progress in Warzone DMZ would be wiped. However, it may be the right move considering all the updates coming to the popular extraction shooter game mode.

Vondel will be the new Exclusion Zone in Warzone DMZ.

Season 3 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 is coming to an end in a few days. Activision has revealed a roadmap for the upcoming season will all that is coming to the popular first-person shooter. Chief among the changes is the updates that DMZ will be getting in the upcoming season.

One of the biggest updates to Warzone DMZ will be the introduction of Vondel, a new medium-sized map that will be a new Exclusion Zone for DMZ. The map will have 6 3-man squads similar to the Ashika map that was introduced in Season 2.

Vondel was created by Beenox, one of the studios working on the Call of Duty series. The new map will feature densely-packed urban areas, large structures that operators can explore, and a large degree of verticality. Vondel will have 15 distinct points of interest, parkour routes, and secret areas for players to discover.

The new map will feature Dynamic Fog which can roll in at any time of the day.

The new map will also feature Dynamic Fog which will lead players to some exciting encounters. The fog can roll into the zone during certain inclement weather conditions. Players will be forced to change their strategies when the fog density makes it difficult to see beyond close range.

A new feature for Warzone DMZ will be the Forward Operating Base (FOB) that players use as a hub for communications and Operator upgrades within the game mode. The FOB will feature a new menu system that allows gamers to complete objectives to earn various upgrades that they can use in DMZ.

Players can now make use of the Stash to bring money into a DMZ match while the new weapons locker is where players store Insured and contraband guns. There is a new Bounty Board for Exfil missions, Bartering recipes, and Buy Station discounts.

Operators will also have access to Urgent Missions from the FOB. This is a new type of Faction-related mission that grants players Reputation as a reward. Players can unlock Story Missions from these Faction and Urgent Missions.

The Forward Operating Base will be one of the biggest changes in Warzone DMZ.

Season 4 will see the addition of the Phalanx Faction to the extraction shooter mode. Also being added is the new Signal Intelligence Contract that players can complete in an incursion. Infinity Ward is also adding a new boss, a vehicle, and weapons case rewards. Most of the new missions will be tied into the new Vondel map.

Season 4 will bring the Tempus Razorback assault rifle as a new weapon to Warzone and DMZ. Also being added are the ISO 45 SMG and the Tonfa melee weapon. The Tempus Razorback and ISO 45 can be unlocked via the Battle Pass while the Tonfa can be acquired from the Assault on Vondel event.
